Garth Brooks launched his 2026 “Blame It All on My Roots” arena tour this week with two sold-out shows at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana, opening a run that puts him back in arenas for the first time in years. The country star played in the round on a 360-degree stage ringed by a circular LED rig the production known as “the halo.” The tour also marks the return of Brooks’ infamous Drum Pod, the elevated riser that became a signature of his arena production in the 1990s. Get Garth Brooks Ticket Here On both nights, Brooks with “The Old Stuff,” a song he hadn’t performed live since 2020, before rolling into “Rodeo” and “Two of a Kind, Workin’ on a Full House.” Both shows also included songs like “The Beaches of Cheyenne,” “Two Piña Coladas,” “The Thunder Rolls,” “Unanswered Prayers,” “That Summer,” “Callin’ Baton Rouge,” “Ain’t Goin’ Down (’Til the Sun Comes Up),” “The River,” “The Dance,” and “Friends in Low Places.” Night one leaned deeper into Brooks’ back catalog with “Papa Loved Mama” and “Much Too Young (to Feel This Damn Old),” and “We Bury the Hatchet,” a song he hasn’t performed live since 1992. He also brought out Robert Bailey for a cover of The Isley Brothers’ “Shout.” The encore featured solo renditions of Keith Whitley’s “Ten Feet Away,” “The Red Strokes,” and “She’s Every Woman,” followed by full-band performances of “Belleau Wood” and “Standing Outside the Fire.” Night two saw Brooks swap in “Fishin’ in the Dark,” plus covers of George Strait’s “Troubadour” Bob Seger’s “Turn the Page,” Billy Joel’s “Piano Man” and “Shameless,” and Steve Goodman’s “You Never Even Call Me by My Name.” Brooks has two more shows in Indianapolis shows weekend, including a Sunday matinee, before the tour moves to Denver’s Ball Arena in September, then Chicago’s Allstate Arena and Capital One Arena in Washington, DC.
