Science and spirituality exhibition draws 5,000 visitors in Guntur

VIJAY KUMAR A two-day Science and Spirituality Exhibition organised by the Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations, Guntur, Education Wing, which concluded on Wednesday, drew around 5,000 visitors, including 4,500 students from various schools, according to Guntur district Balvikas coordinators Putta Appa Rao and Palati Siva Leela.Themed “Experience the Harmony of Science and Spirituality”, the exhibition sought to bring together scientific thought, spiritual wisdom, education and human values, and highlight their relevance in contemporary life. Around 200 students from Sathya Sai Schools and Balvikas centres in Guntur participated in the exhibition and explained the exhibits to visitors.The displays covered yoga and meditation, Vedas, prayers and their significance, Indian festivals and traditions, marriage customs, yagnas, temple architecture, and the significance of traditional attire and ornaments, including the bindi, bangles, saree, earrings and toe rings. The exhibits also focused on the unity of religions, service to humanity and human values.A special feature of the exhibition was that the models were prepared by Balvikas students from all districts of Andhra Pradesh, presenting the spiritual significance of traditional practices and their relevance to modern life.About 150 volunteers and Sevadal members, along with teachers and staff, facilitated the programme. Visitors appreciated the initiative for presenting science and spirituality in a simple and meaningful manner.“The end of education is character”, as said by Baba, was the motto of the exhibition.A.P.
