In ScreenRant's A Quiet Place: Day One review, Mae Abdulbaki gave the 2024 entry 4/10, sharing how it "had potential, but it squanders some of its goodwill early on and never recovers. It’s a tension-free viewing experience that leaves a lot to be desired." In the end, Abdulbaki felt that "unfortunately, the film doesn’t invest in its characters or in its world beyond the surface, so why should we?" As of writing, the Lupita Nyong'o and Joseph Quinn-starring feature is sitting on an 86% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, while holding 72% on the audience score.
