Savile Row tailors in clash with The Beatles over plans for new museum at Fab Four’s old HQ where they played iconic gig

PLANS for a Beatles museum have received a dressing-down from tailors. He told council planners: “The pavements on the street are narrow — already frequently clogged with visitors.” Sign up for The Sun newsletter Thank you! The association represents brands including Edward Sexton, who made suits for The Beatles. Apple Corps, the Fab Four’s record label, plans to open The Beatles at 3 Savile Row next year. The seven-floor museum would open the roof where John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr played in public for the last time before cops called a halt due to noise complaints. There’s also a re-creation of the basement studio where Let It Be was recorded. Reps told Westminster City Council it will be a “local cultural asset (not just a tourist destination)” and an “education platform rooted in music, creativity, and social history”.
