Earlier, AFP said its correspondent had heard explosions in the Saudi capital. Similar alerts were earlier issued, and later withdrawn, for the Farasan and Jazan region, the city of Abha and the governorates of Khamis Mushait, Jeddah, Taif and Yanbu.
