Sandringham Estate forced to close to public due to burst water main

SANDRINGHAM House and Gardens has been forced to shut today after being left with “no water”. A statement on the Royal Estate’s website reads: “Due to a burst water main locally, we currently have no water. Sign up for The Sun newsletter Thank you! “Therefore Sandringham House & Gardens, Restaurant, Terrace, Shop & toilets will be closed today. “Any visitors with tickets for today will automatically receive a refund. We apologise for the inconvenience this may cause.” Sandringham Estate, in Norfolk, is most famously the private country retreat of King Charles III and Queen Camilla. The House was opened to the public by Queen Elizabeth II to mark her Silver Jubilee in 1977, opening to visitors between March and October annually. Anglian Water, the supplier for the Royal Estate, and its surrounding areas, said on its website: “Our estimated fix time is now 5:00 pm on 17 September 2026. “We’re sorry if you’re still experiencing either very low water pressure or no water at all in Sandringham and Surrounding area.
