After launching in Korea earlier this month, Samsung has confirmed that its open-ear Galaxy Buds On will cost $229 in the US and will go on sale early next month. Galaxy Buds On are clip-style, open-ear earbuds that are designed to be super lightweight and let you hear music, podcasts, and more without blocking sound from the world around you. The form factor has been used by other brands, but is new to Samsung’s lineup. The company announced Galaxy Buds On earlier in October in Korea, touting Gemini Live integration, 9.5-hour battery life, automatic volume adjustments, and more. Today’s announcement also calls out features like “Intelligent Clear Call” and “Quick Voice Memo,” as well as Bixby integration for searching through recordings “hands-free.” There’s also gesture support for answering/declining calls, dismissing alarms, and more. Galaxy Buds On are available solely in black and the earbuds have the same case design as Galaxy Buds 4/Pro. Pricing lands at $229 in the US, making these Samsung’s second-most expensive pair of wireless earbuds behind the $249 Galaxy Buds 4 Pro. Galaxy Buds 4 are $179. Pre-orders open today with shipping in “early November” – a specific release date has not been confirmed. Are you getting a pair?
