For a little while now, the Samsung Galaxy Z range has been the only product that can come with One UI 9 pre-installed out of the box. However, that's about to change. While some of Samsung's Galaxy range can install One UI 9 as part of an update, the newly announced S26 FE will be the first one in the series to come with it as default. Plus, a feature that was previously a Samsung Z exclusive is now on its way to debut on the Galaxy range. It comes with a 6.7-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1,900 nits of brightness. Under the hood, you've got an Exynos 2500 processor, 8GB of RAM, a choice between 128 and 256 GB in storage, seven generations of OS upgrades, and seven years of security updates. The highlight software feature of the Samsung Galaxy S26 FE is the addition of One UI 9 as a default. While other Samsung phones can update to One UI 9, the S26 FE is one of the first in the Galaxy S26 series to have One UI 9 installed right out of the box, a privilege that only Galaxy Z phones have had until now. This means you have all the new and enhanced menus and settings from day one. The Samsung Galaxy S26 FE will also be the first in the Galaxy S26 range to get a once-exclusive feature for the Galaxy Z, called "My FanCam." This locks onto a selected person and keeps them in the middle of the frame while you're recording, making it a lot easier to keep the focus on someone special. The Samsung Galaxy S26 FE will release on September 3rd via select carriers, starting from $699.99.
