Samsung starts rolling out Android 17 with One UI 9, confirms initial list of Galaxy devices

After months in beta, Samsung is now rolling out One UI 9, based on Android 17, to select Galaxy devices. Confirmed in a newsroom post, Samsung has officially started rolling out its One UI 9 update. This is an Android 17-based update and first debuted on the Galaxy Z Fold 8 series and Flip 8 in July. As of today, only the Galaxy S26 series – S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra – will start getting the stable update. This comes after around four months in beta, and signals that a wider rollout is likely just a few weeks away.
