Samsung starts rolling out Android 17, One UI 9 to Galaxy S26 in the US following delay

After a slight delay, Samsung is rolling out its Android 17-based One UI 9 update to Galaxy S26 owners in the US, though not to everyone just yet. Samsung announced the rollout of One UI 9 as starting earlier this month, but the update failed to show up and, in some regions, Samsung even briefly confirmed a delay. While the exact speed bumps Samsung hit are unclear, the rollout appears to be commencing. On Reddit, a handful of Galaxy S26 series owners in the US confirmed that One UI 9 has reached their devices. The roughly 4GB update is showing up for users on T-Mobile, but carrier rollouts are typically a sign that more devices are set to join the rollout soon. Oddly, unlocked devices do not appear to be getting the update just yet.
