New leaked renders of the Galaxy S27 Ultra show a completely different camera layout, with Samsung apparently moving away from the familiar individual camera lenses seen on recent Galaxy S Ultra phones.The leaked images, shared by tipsters Ice Universe and Sonny Dickson, show a large horizontal camera bar stretching across the upper section of the phone. The main and ultrawide cameras appear stacked on one side, while a third camera sits inside a pill-shaped section alongside the LED flash and laser autofocus system.The design is already attracting attention because it looks noticeably different from the Galaxy S26 Ultra. More importantly, the wide camera bar appears similar to the design language Apple is expected to use on its iPhone 17 Pro models. That may leave Samsung facing criticism from fans who prefer the Galaxy line to have its own visual identity.The leaked renders also appear to show a circular magnetic ring inside the rear panel. This could mean Samsung is finally adding built-in magnets for Qi2 wireless charging and magnetic accessories, instead of making users depend on special cases. Samsung is also reportedly planning to remove one of the Ultra series' telephoto cameras.According to previous reports, the Galaxy S27 Ultra could feature a 200-megapixel primary camera with OIS, a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera with autofocus and a 50-megapixel telephoto camera offering 5x optical zoom. The existing 3x telephoto camera could be dropped, leaving the Ultra with three rear cameras for the first time. Reports suggest the change could help Samsung reduce manufacturing costs. The Galaxy S27 Pro, meanwhile, is expected to retain a 3x telephoto camera.The camera changes may also explain the unusual look of the leaked rear panel, with the three sensors arranged differently from previous Ultra models.Two Ultra sizes?Another intriguing claim has emerged from Sonny Dickson, who says the redesigned flagship could come in "two different sizes.” It is unclear whether this means Samsung is planning two actual S27 Ultra sizes or whether one of the devices is the rumoured Galaxy S27 Pro.Samsung is also reportedly working on a larger battery for the Ultra. Leaks point to a rated capacity of 5,534mAh, which could translate into a marketed capacity of around 5,700-5,800mAh. This would be a sizeable increase over the 5,000mAh batteries used in recent Ultra models.At the moment, these details remain unconfirmed. Ice Universe has also suggested that the standard Galaxy S27 and S27+ will retain the vertical camera arrangement, meaning the dramatic redesign could be exclusive to Samsung's top-end models.
