While Amazon is showing a combination of flat and bank discounts, the effective price depends on the payment method you use. Interestingly, the Galaxy S25 Ultra was previously available for around Rs 89,999 without any special conditions. Now, the listed price has gone up slightly, with the marketplace relying on multiple discount offers to reach a similar effective price.The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, which launched in India at Rs 1,29,999, is currently listed on Amazon for Rs 94,999. That itself is a flat discount of Rs 35,000 from the launch price. The biggest advertised saving comes if you pay using an Amazon Pay ICICI Bank credit card. According to Amazon, eligible users can get an additional Rs 9,499 benefit. This figure is made up of a Rs 5,000 instant discount along with 5 percent cashback for Prime members using the Amazon Pay ICICI card. While Amazon combines these benefits to advertise a total discount of Rs 44,499, not every buyer will qualify for the full amount. The cashback component also comes later, making the offer a little more complicated than it initially appears.Other bank offers are easier to understandIf you don't have the Amazon Pay ICICI card, there are still decent savings available. HDFC Bank credit card holders can get an additional Rs 5,500 discount on both EMI and non-EMI transactions, bringing the effective price down to Rs 89,499. Axis Bank credit card users can claim Rs 5,000 off on EMI purchases, reducing the effective price to Rs 89,999. That means even without the Amazon Pay ICICI offer, buyers can still save around Rs 40,000 compared to the phone's launch price. Amazon is also advertising an exchange bonus of up to Rs 43,050 for eligible old smartphones. However, buyers should keep in mind that the final exchange value depends on factors such as the age, model and condition of the old device. In most cases, the actual exchange amount is lower than the maximum value displayed on the product page.Is it still worth buying or should you wait for S27 Ultra?The Galaxy S25 Ultra continues to be one of Samsung's strongest flagship smartphones. It offers a premium AMOLED display, flagship-grade performance, S Pen support and one of the best camera systems available on an Android phone. For someone upgrading from an older device, the current sale pricing makes it far more affordable than it was at launch. That said, timing is also worth considering. Samsung's next-generation Galaxy S27 Ultra is widely expected to arrive in about six months. Early leaks suggest it could bring a larger silicon-carbon battery, upgraded cameras, the next-generation Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro for Galaxy processor and a new "Polar ID" authentication feature. However, reports also indicate that some expected upgrades, including LPDDR6 RAM and UFS 5.0 storage, may no longer be part of the final device.If you need a premium Android phone right now and can get the Galaxy S25 Ultra for around Rs 89,500 or less with exchange offers, it remains an excellent buy. But if your current phone is still serving you well and you are looking for the biggest possible leap in features, waiting for the Galaxy S27 Ultra could prove to be the better long-term decision.
