The Samastha Kerala Islam Matha Vidyabhyasa Board (SKIMVB) has granted recognition to eight more madrasas, taking the total number of Samastha-affiliated madrasas to 11,134.The newly recognised madrasas are in Bengaluru, Kasaragod, Malappuram, Palakkad, Dindigul, and Tirunelveli.The board also approved the launch of play schools from the next academic year on select campuses under ASMI (Association of Samastha Minority Institution) schools.
