Sam Fender & Olivia Dean’s “Rein Me In” Breaks Record For Longest-Running #1 Hit In The UK

Earlier this month, Sam Fender and Olivia Dean's "Rein Me In" became the UK's longest-running #1 single by British artists. Now, it's the longest-running hit in the UK by anyone, breaking a 73-year record. With its 19th week at the top, the single has surpassed Frankie Laine's "I Believe," which reigned for 18 non-consecutive weeks in 1953. "Completely lost for words, thank you so much to Olivia Dean and the fans for making this song the juggernaut that it is," Fender wrote on Instagram. "We broke the UK record. LEGENDS."The song was shared in June of last year as a remix of the solo version on Fender's latest LP People Watching. It's broke many records on its way to this one, about which Fender said, "Every Friday, it's been an excuse to party. So it needs to stop soon because I'm gonna die." Don't die, Sam.
