Sam drops a shocking bombshell in Coronation Street that leaves Nick utterly stunned

Sam’s in too deep (Picture: ITV) Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) faces a huge problem in Coronation Street next week, as he learns son Sam Blakeman (Jude Riordan) has been keeping quiet a big secret from him. Earlier this year, Sam began to struggle with his mental health after being manipulated by Megan Walsh (Beth Nixon). It resulted in Sam hearing voices, and also experiencing visual hallucinations of Will Driscoll (Lucas Hodgson-Wale) and Roy Cropper (David Neilson). Nick discovered just how bad things were with Sam when he learnt that he had locked himself in the cafe with Roy. Terrified Sam fled the cafe, and was found by Carla Connor-Swain (Alison King). Eventually, Nick, Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor) and Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) took Sam to the hospital, where he began receiving treatment for schizophrenia. Next week though, Nick will be presented with a new predicament created by Sam, and he realises that his son’s latest problem is about to become his as well. When Hope Stape (Isabella Flanagan) tells Nick and Toyah that Sam’s been acting strangely, they decide to try and get him to open up. Nick and Toyah talk to Sam, but unfortunately that’s as far as things go. He refuses to speak about what’s on his mind, and quickly heads off. Sam’s secret is revealed later in the week, as he breaks down and admits that he’s been trading in cryptocurrency using Nick’s name. The tearful youngster then explains that he took a credit card out in his dad’s name, and has now run up a debt of over £6k. Will Idris be the hero and help Sam?
