Salman Khan tears up as Mohit Chauhan honours father Salim on Bigg Boss 20

Actor Salman Khan was visibly moved during a recent episode of Bigg Boss 20 when singer Mohit Chauhan, who was a special guest this Weekend Ka Vaar, brought up his father, veteran screenwriter Salim Khan. What began as a light-hearted exchange between the two soon turned emotional, with Mohit's words and a nostalgic song leaving the superstar teary-eyed.Mohit, who is a popular playback singer, first expressed his admiration for Salman. "I'm a huge fan of yours," he told the actor. Salman graciously thanked him, but Mohit had something more to add: "But I'm an even bigger fan of your father."The singer then broke into a rendition of "Mujhe Tumse Mohabbat Hai, Magar Main Kah Nahi Sakta" from the 1963 film Bachpan which starred Salim Khan before his foray into screenwriting. Originally sung by the legendary Mohammed Rafi, the song struck an emotional chord with Salman, who struggled to hold back his tears as Mohit performed.The choice of song carried a special significance. Bachpan featured Salim Khan in the lead role, from a time when he was still finding his footing as an actor. Having made his acting debut with the 1960 film Baaraat, Salim had a string of unsuccessful films before his career eventually took a different turn. Interestingly, Helen, who later became his second wife, also had a small part in Bachpan. Comedian Gaurav Gupta, who appeared as another guest during the Diwali special episode, took playful digs at the contestants, but his jokes did not go down well with everyone.One of his punchlines referred to the controversial massage incident involving Scout OP and Luv Gill. Gill took offence to the comedian bringing up the matter and immediately challenged him, making it clear that she did not appreciate personal issues becoming material for jokes. Scout, too, joined the exchange and criticised Gaurav. The comedian, however, continued with his roast, turning his attention to the other housemates. His subsequent jokes had the contestants in splits.Gaurav wasn't the only celebrity guest to visit the Bigg Boss 20 house. Karan Johar and Shanaya Kapoor also made appearances on the show.Manish Goyal faces possible evictionMeanwhile, the eviction race inside the Bigg Boss 20 house continues to intensify. Roheed Khan, Isha Rikhi, Riti Tiwari, Aman Gandhi and Mary Kom are among the contestants who have already been shown the door.Last week, actor Asif Khan's journey came to an end after he reportedly received an insufficient number of votes. Actor Manish Goyal, who entered the show as a wild card contestant, is now rumoured to be the next facing eviction this week.- Ends
