Salesman granted $6 000 bail on theft charges

A 44-year-old salesman has been granted $6 000 bail after appearing in the No. 1 District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court, where he denied charges relating to the alleged disposal of a stolen motor car and the theft of $16 000. Mohammed Suhail Bhoola of St Leonard’s Avenue, St Michael, went before Acting Chief Magistrate Douglas Frederick and pleaded not guilty to the charge that, between October 1, 2025, and November 20, 2025, knowing or believing that a motor car valued at $10 000 was stolen, he dishonestly assisted in its disposal for the benefit of another person. He was not required to enter a plea to the allegation that he stole $16 000 belonging to Johnathan Sealy on November 20, 2025. There were no objections to his release, and the matter was adjourned until December 3. Bhoola is represented by attorney Ensley Grainger. (JB)
