Published August 26, 2026 05:08 PM The Broncos signed veteran safety Taylor Rapp on Aug. 20. They released him on Wednesday.Rapp, though, is expected to return to Denver at a later date, coach Sean Payton said.“Taylor Rapp, came in and spent some time with him,” Payton said, via video from the team. “He needs a little time at home and completely get what he’s needing. There’s a good chance — a better than good chance — [that he re-signs]. I know how he felt being here, and so I think sooner than later that’s going happen. This obviously took precedent, so just leave it at that.”Rapp, 28, spent the past three seasons with the Bills. He appeared in only six games last year due to a knee injury before being released in March.A Rams second-round pick in 2019, Rapp has played 93 games in his career with 72 starts. He’s recorded 12 interceptions with 31 passes defensed in his career.
