Ryan Clark's The Pivot Podcast lands at Netflix

Published September 1, 2026 12:09 PM It’s been a wild summer, to say the least, for Ryan Clark. He was fired by ESPN under the guise of a layoff, getting the word while on the air. It was clearly a middle finger to someone they loved for who and what he was, until they suddenly didn’t.Now, Clark’s podcast has been picked up by Netflix. The announcement came on Monday. The show, featuring Clark, Channing Crowder, and Fred Taylor, will launch on the streaming platform on September 8, with two episodes per week. The arrangement includes a first-look deal with Clark’s Pivot25 Productions for Netflix-exclusive bonus episodes. “I’ve gained a new perspective: passion over platform, and people over perception,” Clark said in a statement. “I’m grateful and excited to take [The Pivot] to Netflix. This is the beginning of a beautiful new chapter. . . . The story is far from finished.”It’s the latest move by Netflix in a push into the sports podcast space. Despite claims that the experiment isn’t going well, it feels like a long-term play for the streamer. For Clark (and others) it’s a reminder that there’s a broad universe beyond legacy media.
