Russian Strikes Inflict Billions in Losses on Ukraine’s Rozetka in Worst Damage in Company’s History

To be precise, we are still calculating them, but they are very, very large. These are the biggest losses in our company’s history,” he said. Rozetka calls for greater government support Chechetkin said the government could help businesses affected by Russian attacks by expanding access to war-risk insurance with higher coverage limits, providing tax relief during reconstruction and offering concessional loans. He also called for simplifying regulations governing private air defense, saying the current rules make it nearly impossible for businesses to use the mechanism. Two attacks hit Rozetka warehouses The comments came a day after a Russian missile strike destroyed one of Rozetka’s warehouses in Brovary, in the Kyiv region. The company said the logistics complex was beyond repair, although no one was injured in the attack. The strike followed another Russian drone attack several days earlier that hit a separate Rozetka warehouse in the Kyiv region, killing one employee and injuring seven others. On Aug. 2, Russian forces launched two drone attacks within 24 hours on the company’s main logistics hub in Brovary. Rozetka co-founder Iryna Chechotkina said two Shahed drones struck the warehouse during the second overnight attack, which the company described as a deliberate strike on its infrastructure. The overnight attack caused no casualties, but it came a day after another strike on the same warehouse complex killed 61-year-old employee Volodymyr Melnychenko and injured seven others, one of whom was left in serious condition. At the time, Rozetka said the repeated attacks would not disrupt its operations despite the damage to its logistics facilities. The repeated targeting of the Brovary logistics center occurred amid a massive weekend aerial bombardment. The initial strike on the warehouse coincided with a nationwide Russian assault early Saturday involving 35 missiles and 185 attack drones. During that barrage, Ukrainian air defenses intercepted just one of 27 Russian ballistic missiles due to a critical shortage of Patriot interceptors, resulting in severe infrastructure damage and multiple casualties in the capital and surrounding regions.
