Russian Strike Injures 3, Damages Kyiv Apartment Block During Tuesday’s Barrage

Firefighters extinguished the blaze after it covered about 100 square meters (1,076 square feet).Rescuers led seven people from the damaged building to safety. Officials did not say whether other residents had been evacuated independently or how many apartments were affected.The State Emergency Service of Ukraine (DSNS) also published images from the scene showing extensive damage to the high-rise’s upper floors.The Podil strike occurred during a broader Russian drone and missile barrage against Kyiv and the surrounding region. At least 12 people were killed, including eight in the capital, during the Sept. 1 attacks, according to Reuters.
