A Russian first-person-view (FPV) drone attacked a monastery in the village of Chervonyi Mayak, located within the Novoraisk community of Kherson region, killing a 71-year-old priest and injuring four other clergymen. A 71-year-old priest was killed by the strike,” Prokudin stated, offering condolences to the victim’s family. The four injured clergymen, aged 31, 51, 51, and 53, sustained blast injuries and were on the monastery grounds during the strike. Separately, Russian drones struck a railway infrastructure facility in Vinnytsia region overnight into Sunday, Sept. 20. Firefighters extinguished a resulting blaze, and no casualties were reported, according to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (DSNS). The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that Russian forces launched 138 strike drones overnight – including Shahed-type unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), half of them jet-powered, Gerbera drones, and Parodiia decoy drones – from four directions. Ukrainian air defense shot down or suppressed 101 enemy drones. Strikes were recorded across 17 locations, with falling debris reported in five areas.
