The strikes killed two people and injured one other, damaging five homes and three vehicles before emergency crews extinguished the fires. In Zaporizhzhia, waves of Russian drone strikes hit residential homes and an administrative building late Saturday, injuring at least six people, Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration Head Ivan Fedorov reported. The strikes ignited multiple building fires, with one elderly woman among the wounded. In Khmelnytskyi, a Russian drone struck a multi-story apartment building, injuring seven residents, according to the SES. The attacks also followed overnight Russian strikes that killed five people and injured five others at an industrial enterprise in Kamianske, Dnipropetrovsk region, and damaged a shopping center in Mykolaiv. President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the overnight drone attacks also deliberately targeted airports in Kyiv and Boryspil in a “demonstrative” reaction to the arrival of US diplomatic envoys, adding that Ukraine would adjust its operations regarding Russian airspace next week in response.
