Russia threatens to strike UK military targets as Putin rages at Britain for supplying weapon tech to Ukraine

RUSSIA has threatened to strike UK military sites in response to Britain handing over plans for long-range Storm Shadow missiles. Vladimir Putin‘s stark warning comes after Andy Burnham gave the blueprints to Volodymyr Zelensky in the latest show of support for Kyiv. Russia‘s foreign ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said: “It’s clear that by transferring so-called assembly functions to the Ukrainians, London and Paris are frantically trying to absolve themselves of responsibility for carrying out strikes deep into our country’s territory. “It won’t work. The Putin puppet added: “Those in the west who make and implement these decisions must know that they are playing with fire. “The consequences could be completely unpredictable.” It comes after raging Putin accused Britain of “participating” in the war for handing over the long-range rocket blueprints earlier this week. The UK will be able to use Ukraine‘s coveted Avengers AI Labs, which holds millions of pieces of real-life combat data gathered from the war. Russia‘s terrifying warning comes after Burnham was told Britain could face direct retaliation over its support for Ukraine. UK security chiefs have been primed for an attack on Britain – either on Burnham or defence sites. Major British defence manufacturers producing weapons for Ukraine are believed to have beefed up their security measures against feared physical and cyber attacks. Storm Shadow missile blueprints will help Kyiv ramp up production so that it can continue hitting key military sites deep inside Russia. Over the summer, Ukraine has been hammering key logistics sites such as fuel hubs and e-commerce complexes to try and strangle Putin’s war efforts. The attacks sparked chaos as fuel shortages became widespread and the public were faced with the realities of war at their doorstep. The stunning campaign laid bare the weakness of Russia’s air defence systems and showed how Putin is more exposed than ever. The scale of Ukraine’s deep strikes has reduced since its peak a few weeks ago. So long-range cruise missiles are crucial to keeping up the pressure on Putin – and a key factor that could bring the tyrant closer to the negotiating table. Moscow’s chilling warning also follows a rare visit to Moscow by CIA Director John Ratcliffe this week. He is believed to have warned the Putin regime against military action against an unnamed Nato state amid spiralling fears of an attack on Europe.
