Russia struck Odesa infrastructure again late Wednesday, extending a relentless series of attacks on the Black Sea city that have killed civilians and damaged homes, businesses and logistics facilities in recent days. “Odesa was attacked by the enemy. Infrastructure was damaged,” Serhiy Lysak, head of the Odesa City Military Administration, reported on Telegram.JOIN US ON TELEGRAMFollow our coverage of the war on the @Kyivpost_official. The latest strike follows days of Russian bombardment across Odesa and the surrounding region. On Sept. 29, Russian forces attacked infrastructure overnight and into the morning, triggering a fire that emergency crews extinguished. Six people were injured in attacks in the city, with two remaining hospitalized, according to local authorities. The wider Odesa district also came under attack that night. Residential buildings, an animal shelter, a production facility, warehouses, a gymnasium and a dormitory were damaged, along with cars and trucks. Eight people were injured. A day earlier, on Sept. 28, a Russian strike tore into a high-rise residential building in Odesa, destroying an apartment on the 12th floor and damaging the façade, balconies and windows on floors below. Four people, including a child, were ultimately reported injured. The attacks followed another deadly strike on Sept. 25, when two people – a 40-year-old woman and a 51-year-old man – were killed and two others injured. Russian strikes that day also damaged a private home, warehouses and a postal terminal in the Odesa area, with fires breaking out at several locations.
