Russian forces struck the Dnipropetrovsk region nearly 40 times on Friday, Oct. 9, killing one person. Kryvyi Rih district Kryvyi Rih, President Volodymyr Zelensky’s hometown and a major industrial center, repeatedly faces Russian missile and drone attacks. The latest strikes damaged infrastructure in the city, while the nearby Zelenodolsk community suffered damages on private houses. On Tuesday, Oct. 6, Russian forces attacked central Kryvyi Rih with two Banderol loitering munitions, striking the grounds of a city hospital and wounding three people. Russian forces launched an overnight Russian barrage on Kryvyi Rih on Sept. 11-12, killing two people and wounding three. The strikes also damaged an industrial facility and civilian infrastructure, including private homes. In August, a Russian strike on a shopping center in the city killed at least 16 people and wounded more than 130, including several children. Among the deadliest strikes in the Kryvyi Rih was recorded on July 30, when Russian forces launched a missile on the village of Radushne, killing an entire family of 10, including two parents, seven children, and an 18-month-old grandson. Nikopol and Synelnykove district The Nikopol district bore the brunt of today’s strikes as Russian forces struck the city of Nikopol along with the Pokrovske, Marhanets, Myrove, Mozolevska and Chervonohryhorivka communities. According to Hanzha, the strikes damaged private homes and an apartment building, as well as businesses and an infrastructure facility. Several fires were sparked. Russian attacks targeted the Zaitseve and Petropavlivka communities in the Synelnykove district, damaging an agricultural enterprise and infrastructure facilities. Double strike on Dnipro district warehouses Later in the evening, Russian forces struck the Dnipro district, setting a logistics company’s warehouses on fire, Hanzha reported at 8 p.m. local time. The company’s name had not been made public at the time of reporting. Less than an hour later, at 8:50 p.m. local time, Hanzha confirmed the same warehouses were struck for a second time.
