Russia Attacks Teva Pharmaceutical Company and World Health Organization Warehouse in Ukraine

Russia’s drones hit warehouses of a prominent pharmaceutical firm, NASDAQ-listed Teva, and a World Health Organization warehouse during its wave of non-stop jet-drone attacks on Ukraine’s large civilian businesses – this time targeting medications. Headquartered in Israel, the 120-year-old company is also listed on NASDAQ with $30.62 per share traded as of Sept. 3, 15:37 Kyiv time, the data on its website says. An attack also hit one of the main World Health Organization warehouses in Ukraine, where humanitarian medical supplies are stored, the company said on Facebook. This is yet another major assault by Russian forces since early August, amid massive attacks on the civilian logistics and retail sector. A significant portion of modern storage facilities have already been destroyed, reaching up to 90 percent in some cases, Ukraine’s Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Taras Vysotsky reported on Facebook. “We are assessing the consequences of the attack and doing everything possible to minimize the impact on supplies and ensure that Ukrainian patients continue to have access to the medicines they need,” Teva wrote in a Facebook post. The pharmaceutical industry is a critical part of the healthcare system; people’s uninterrupted access to necessary treatment must remain protected, according to the company’s statement.
