Royal Mail misses delivery targets AGAIN after major delays – despite axing popular Saturday service

ROYAL Mail has missed its delivery targets once again, despite a major overhaul to scrap second-class post on Saturdays. It comes after 106 postcodes were told they would not receive their post on time earlier this month. The delivery firm delivered 85% of first-class deliveries the next day in the first quarter of the year. Under targets set by regulator Ofcom, 90% of first-class mail should be delivered the next day. Sign up for the Money newsletter Thank you! Meanwhile 91.4% of second-class mail was delivered within three working days – below the target of 95%. Comment now
