Rove’s 130 Miles Per Dollar Software Offer Lets You Buy Points At 3/4ths Of A Cent

There’s an offer that earns 130.7 Rove miles per dollar, in other words that lets you buy Rove Miles which can be transferred to a variety of currencies at just three-quarters of a cent apiece. That’s an extraordinary rate. The merchant is “Webroot master,” I’ve never heard of them before, and it’s for a monthly subscription from a separate seller, with restrictions on transferring the license (so you’re not going to be able to resell what you purchase to recoup the cost and drive down your cost basis further). Rove has the following points transfer partners: Star Alliance: Air Canada Aeroplan, Air India Maharaja Club, Copa ConnectMiles, Lufthansa Miles & More, Thai Airways Royal Orchid Plus, Turkish Airlines Miles&Smiles SkyTeam: Aeromexico Rewards, Air France-KLM Flying Blue, SAS EuroBonus, Vietnam Airlines Lotusmiles, Virgin Atlantic Flying Club/Virgin Red oneworld: Cathay Pacific Asia Miles, Finnair Plus, Japan Airlines Mileage Bank, Qantas Frequent Flyer, Qatar Airways Privilege Club Non-alliance: Etihad Guest, Frontier Miles, Hainan Airlines Fortune Wings Club Hotels: ALL Accor The offer came up in an October 6 discussion on Reddit. One commenter reported seeing 130.7x in Rove, with miles expected to become available around mid-December. They hadn’t tried it. Cashback Monitor shows it alongside 160% back through Kudos. (Note that there’s a separate and less lucrative listing for ‘Webroot’). In a February discussion at US Card Forum, customers noted a $3.80 monthly cost. One suggestion that annual payment was possible was crossed out. So the value here may be limited. I haven’t had time to investigate this further, but thought I’d flag it in case some of you did.
