Ronnie O’Sullivan FARTS on rival Shaun Murphy as his sweet potato diet causes chaos on snooker scene

RONNIE O’SULLIVAN is stinking out the place at the Wuhan Open – but not on the match table. One of Britain’s biggest sports stars has been struggling with bouts of dodgy stomach gas due to all the exotic foods he has been trying while over in China. And on a new Instagram account called ‘rosunplanned’ – on which the pair, who got married over a year ago, plan to post images and videos as a couple – there is footage of the seven-time world champion farting on a brown sofa. Good for the old bowls (sic).” Not only that – he was captured letting one rip as he walked away from a match, with his cue in hand, backstage at the Optics Valley Gymnasium, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, in Wuhan. A bemused and startled Shaun Murphy was caught up in the tailwind, along with some security personnel, as he was leaving another table at the same time. Rouass claimed “poor Shaun Murphy, getting a taste of last night’s sweet potato”. Further videos posted online show O’Sullivan blowing off wind in an old match against Tom Ford – and while also signing a shirt for a fan on Wednesday. Someone off camera reacted to the noise, saying “very nice” in a Chinese accent. A 5-2 win over Scotsman Stephen Maguire – he scored breaks of 106 and 110 – saw him move into the quarter-finals where he will face either Chinese cueist Pang Junxu or four-time world champion Mark Selby. Rouass, now based in the Middle East after the couple relocated from the UK, flew over to Beijing and then caught a three-hour bullet train to Wuhan “to see hubby (after) over six weeks apart”. Alongside loyal pal Robbie Huxley, the loved-up O’Sullivans spent their time relaxing and eating local Chinese delicacies. One green fruit, which had a “nutty” taste, is supposed to promote good eye health, according to restaurateurs. Not that O’Sullivan has much trouble with his eyes when it comes to potting balls.
