Rome Odunze: I feel ready to go; I plan on playing

Odunze questions that.“I feel ready to go,” Odunze said, via video from Jason Liser of the Chicago Sun-Times. “I doubt I’m questionable. I know there’s a way everybody goes about things, but I feel pretty good. I was out there today. I plan on playing.”Odunze said he strained his right calf, calling it “just a little muscle fatigue” during training camp.“But, yeah, feel great and ready to go,” Odunze said. He missed five games last season due to a stress fracture in his foot and finished the season with 44 catches for 661 yards and six touchdowns. “Coming off last year, you hate to have injuries,” Odunze said. “Through the offseason, through this training camp, to have been healthy, you can’t take those things for granted.”Odunze sounds ready for 2026.“I can play football, man,” he said. “I’ve been dreaming of doing this since I was 6. Guaranteed opportunity, and I’m trying to make the most of it every single time I step out there. Be excited to go and start a game away.”
