After originally being slated for a 2027 finalization, ongoing talks of a deal between Roku and Fox have finally ended. In June 2026, Fox Corp. was reportedly eyeing acquisition of Roku for $160 per share, a valuation that put their deal at $14 million, alongside Fox Class A common stock, bringing the deal to a total value of $22 million. It was reported that the deal would be finalized in the first half of 2027, which would ultimately bring the streaming TV juggernaut under the management of Fox Corp. In a statement, Fox Corp. executive chair and CEO Lachlan Murdoch explained the importance of building out Roku's future while maintaining elements of the platform that have made it a global name. Check out what Murdoch had to say below: Beginning today, our top priority for the combined company is to continue to relentlessly serve audiences and partners, while reinforcing the openness and choice that is the essence of the Roku platform. Our shared entrepreneurial passion and clear conviction toward building the future together with our new Roku colleagues gives us great confidence in the opportunities ahead of us. Developing...
