EXCLUSIVE: As bundling continues to take over streaming, Roku is introducing a customizable set of bundles creating 30 new combinations of services including AMC+, Fox One and Starz. It is the first time that bundles (see full list below) have been made available via Premium Subscriptions, which is essentially Roku’s version of a channel store. There are 30 possible combinations going live in the U.S., offering savings of up to 30% compared with signing up for each service individually. As is the case with all Premium Subscriptions, bundles can be found throughout the Roku platform including within the Subscriptions Destination, Streaming Store and Premium Subscriptions Home. Data from research firm Antenna provided by Roku to Deadline points to the potency of sign-ups that come through Premium Subscriptions. The firm found that 76% of Premium Subscription sign-ups are incremental and would not have happened as direct-to-consumer transactions. Also, the 98% of subscribers were new to a given service. Watch on Deadline Earlier this year, Roku said it had surpassed 100 million global households. The company has agreed to be acquired by Fox Corp. in a $22 billion deal expected to close in the second half of 2027. The new offerings come in the same week that rival Amazon Prime Video introduced a $30-a-month bundle featuring AMC+, Starz, BritBox, PBS Masterpiece and MGM+. Pay-TV providers like YouTube TV, DirecTV and Charter have been offering a growing menu of bundled packages, and even stand-alone SVODs like Peacock and ESPN are moving toward becoming platforms selling third-party services. Roku’s subscription business has been on the upswing. In the first quarter, Premium Subscriptions registered the most sign-ups in it history, and subscription revenue jumped 30% over the prior-year quarter to reach $518.5 million. Randy Ahn, Roku’s VP and GM of subscriptions, told Deadline in an interview that the company had tested the bundles extensively before the launch. One of the services featured in the bundles is Howdy, Roku’s own $3-a-month, commercial-free home for library titles. Howdy launched in August 2025 and hit 1 million subscribers earlier this year. In a statement, Amy Leasca, EVP of partner growth for AMC Global Media, said the addition of bundles will help viewers “find the programming they want with a level of convenience and value individual subscriptions don’t offer.” Two bundles are being offered in Mexico: Filmelier+ and Adrenalina Pura+; and Looke and Booh!
