Freeland, 33, departed his start against the Los Angeles Dodgers on Wednesday in the fourth inning with discomfort in his left arm caused by the pinched nerve. He is 4-10 with a 6.37 ERA in 23 starts this season. In 10 major league seasons, all with the Rockies, the Denver native is 69-100 with a 4.71 ERA in 259 appearances (254 starts). Adams, 25, is set to make his major league debut. In 25 appearances (two starts) between Double-A and Triple-A this season, Adams is 3-5 with a 6.52 ERA. The 13th-round draft pick in 2022 has spent five seasons in the minor leagues. --Field Level Media
