Rock star facing attempted murder charge, could be facing life in prison

Ebert is accused of striking Yates with his vehicle before “leaving the scene without contacting 911 or providing aid.”Suggest.com. reported that William Yates was hospitalized with serious injuries and had to undergo “at least one surgery.”“The victim was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries, including a broken leg,” law enforcement officials said according to Suggest.The site said that police said they found Ebert’s vehicle “unoccupied with front-end damage.”Suggest said that Ebert has been jailed at the Montgomery Country Correctional Facility since the incident took place in April. The site said Ebert has a pre-trial conference on Sept. 3 and a motion hearing on Sept. 25. His trial is slated to begin on Oct. 5.If he is convicted on the attempted murder charge he could receive a life sentence, Suggest.com reported.Ebert was with Turnstile for more than 10 years before leaving in 2022.Turnstile claimed in a statement that the band cut ties with Ebert due to a “consistent pattern of harmful behavior affecting himself, the band, and the community.”“After exhausting every available resource to support his access to help and recovery, a boundary ultimately had to be set when healthy communication was no longer possible, and he began threatening violence,” a statement from the band read.
