A huge mechanical robot used during a Take That tour has been freaking out locals after it was abandoned in Robbie Williams' garden. The 60ft structure, nicknamed Om, took centre stage during the band's 2011 Progress Live tour, with the overall stage production costing an eye-watering £15million.However, 15 years after the tour wrapped, the animatronic figure is no longer in action and instead sits in the grounds of Robbie's former Wiltshire estate – much to the alarm of passers-by.The large figure can be seen poking out of the surrounding foliage, with one resident of the village of Compton Bassett near Calne branding it a 'creepy fella', while others likened it to The Wicker Man.Other local residents were quick to share their bewilderment on the Calne in Photographs Facebook group, with another stating: 'Something caught my eye. I thought: 'what's that?'. I've driven up and down that road many times and have never spotted it before. 'So I stopped the car and there he was - this giant humanoid sitting in amongst the trees, looking down into the field.' It must be as big as a house.'It caught me completely off guard but I was intrigued. I thought someone had built a Wicker Man.'Meanwhile, one woman was in agreement about the Wicker Man reference while also noting that the robot seemed to appear out of thin air.She said: 'It's such a perfect location as it just seems to emerge from nowhere - and then as you drive alongside it, it seems to withdraw back into the foliage.'But I was concerned that the locals might be building up to a re-enactment of the Wicker Man.'A Wicker Man is a giant woven human-shaped effigy which ancient Roman writers believed were used to burn human and animal sacrifices. The 'spooky' and 'weird' figure, which when fully erect stands at 100ft, sits in the grounds of Robbie's former sprawling 71 acre estate, which he purchased in 2008 before later selling up and moving to LA.
