Riteish Deshmukh joins Ram Pothineni's Telugu film RAPO23, begins new schedule

Bollywood actor Riteish Deshmukh has joined the cast of Ram Pothineni's upcoming Telugu film, tentatively titled #RAPO23. The film will mark Riteish's debut in Telugu cinema, with the makers announcing his entry as a new shooting schedule gets underway.Written and directed by Ram Pothineni, the psychological action thriller is set in a neo-noir world and features the actor as Veera. Samyuktha is also part of the cast, while Krishna Pothineni is producing the film under the Rapo Cinematics banner.Rapo Cinematics announced Riteish's entry through a social media post on Monday. “Welcoming the ever-versatile @Riteishd on board for a very EXCITING ROLE. #RAPO23 New Schedule Begins. #HappyDussehra,” the production house wrote, confirming his addition to the project.The makers also released a behind-the-scenes video from the film's set. The clip keeps Riteish's face out of view while capturing his arrival on the set and his interaction with Ram as they begin working together on the project. The film's unit had completed an earlier shooting schedule in September, during which the team filmed a large-scale night action sequence. According to sources close to the production, the sequence was filmed across a one-kilometre stretch, which was illuminated to create a visual setting suited to the film's neo-noir world. Action choreographer Kevin Master designed the sequence, while National Award-winning cinematographer Thirunavukarasu, popularly known as Tirru, handled the cinematography.The makers had previously welcomed Samyuktha to the project on her birthday. Announcing her inclusion, Rapo Cinematics shared a social media post welcoming the actor to the world of #RAPO23.The film was formally announced on Ram Pothineni's birthday and is being mounted on a lavish scale. Conceived by Ram, the project features music by Sam C S and cinematography by Tirru, with Kevin Master overseeing the action sequences.With Riteish making his Telugu debut in an undisclosed role, #RAPO23 brings together a new combination of actors for a psychological action thriller set in a neo-noir world.
