Actor-director Rishab Shetty took to social media to applaud the trailer of diretor Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana, praising actor Ranbir Kapoor for capturing the "aura and divinity" of Lord Rama.He also commended the team for successfully bringing the timeless legend to life, while expressing special pride as a fellow Kannadiga for actor Yash’s powerful performance.His X post read, "It’s not easy to convince people with the stories and characters of our epics. We have all grown up listening to them, and each of us carries our own imagination of these timeless legends. The mystic story had earlier been depicted in the 1987 television series, Ramayan, created and directed by Ramanand Sagar. Ramayana: Part One also features actors Sai Pallavi, Ravie Dubey, Arun Govil, Lara Dutta, Vivek Oberoi and Rakul Preet Singh in key roles. The film, produced by Namit Malhotra, is set for a Diwali 2026 release.Actor Sunny Deol, who plays Lord Hanuman in the film, does not appear in the trailer.
