Amazon's Ring believes it has a solution with a new Ring Smart Lock that you can recharge with a crank. The unique device has a power dial you can turn "a few times" to bring the lock back to life, according to Ring. You won't have to bring a key just in case, or make an embarrassing call to a locksmith. Ring Pan-Tilt Indoor Cam 2K You also have multiple ways to unlock the door once it's up and running. You'll find a touchscreen keypad and fingerprint reader on the lock itself, and you can use either Alexa or the Ring app if your phone is handy. Like many smart locks, you can remotely control the lock away from home. You can also choose who gets in and when, so you can let a technician in for an hour rather than leaving the door unlocked all day. The Ring Smart lock won't be available until early 2027, when it will sell for $250. New Ring security cameras: 4K, pan-and-tilt Burglars won't escape your view Ring is simultaneously expanding its security camera lineup with a full five new models. The centerpiece is the Ring Pan-Tilt Indoor Cam 2K, a camera that pans 360 degrees and titls 175 degrees. It can follow an intruder around the house, or catch someone peeking into the window on your patio. A physical privacy shutter cuts off the camera and microphone. It's available today for $70. Four 4K cameras join the mix, including a first. The Ring Indoor Cam 4K is the brand's first truly high-resolution indoor camera and boasts automatic HDR to bring out details in any lighting, a live view, and two-way talking. It's available now for $100. The $150 flagship Ring Outdoor Cam 4K Plus is also shipping with variants for battery power, wired power, solar, and power over Ethernet. The $220 Ring Spotlight Cam 4K Plus illuminates burglars at night, while the $220 Floodlight Cam 4K Plus bathes large swaths of your house in light. All three are available today.
