Niall also has a rich history covering triple-A releases, sports games, and PC hardware. While Riftbound set seven, The Reckoning, is still a long way off, we're steadily learning more about the set, including who will lead the Champion Decks. Courtesy of The Riftbound Report, fans are ecstatic to see that Shyvana will lead one of the decks, while iconic ADC Vayne leads the other. Despite being a long-serving character in the game, Vayne has only one card in Riftbound so far: a Champion Unit from Origins, while this is Shyvana's debut in the TCG. While details about the decks are minimal at this stage, we will run you through what we do know, as well as the other confirmed legends for The Reckoning, which is due for release in April 2027. Vayne & Shyvana To Lead Champion Decks In Set Seven Given that The Reckoning isn't due to hit shelves until April 2027, we wouldn't expect to have too many details this early. However, The Riftbound Report is stating that the two Champions Decks are already confirmed, with Shyvana leading a Fury and Body rune deck, while Vayne will lead a Chaos and Order rune deck. We don't yet have a closer look at the Legend cards for each character, nor any additional details about each deck. However, Champion Decks are expected to keep the same approach and follow the same structure as previous products. This means you can expect a 40-card main deck, a 12-card rune deck, a Legend card, and three battlefields. You also get one booster back for the associated set included in the box, a deck box, and a paper playmat. The recommended MSRP for Champion Decks is $19.99, although this could change by the time Reckoning comes around. Not including the four Proving Grounds decks, there have been seven solo Champion Decks released so far, and two Showdown sets, where each box features two decks. What Else Do We Know About The Reckoning? While very little is known about Riftbound set seven, mainly because we have a whole other set to get through first in 2027, we do have a list of five total Legends that have been confirmed so far: Aurelion Sol Cho'Gath Shyvana Vayne Zilean There are four more Legends that are still to be announced at a later date. Riftbound doesn't quite follow the same rigid structure that games like Magic: The Gathering and Disney Lorcana follow with their set info drops, and this can mean that players feel like they're missing out on key information that half the fanbase knew ahead of time. In time, it would be great for Riftbound to get its messaging completely under control, as this allows for a more organized approach to each new set, and players won't be left wondering which new cards, be they leaks or official releases, are coming in which sets.
