Ride to play the classics on ‘Here And Now’ 2027 UK tour

Ride have announced their newest shows in three years on the ‘Here And Now’ 2027 tour. READ MORE: Ride share blissful single ‘Peace Sign’ and tell us about new album ‘Interplay’ Andy Bell has been on tour with Oasis for their reunion shows and releasing his third solo album ‘Pinball Wanderer’, while bassist Steve Queralt has released his debut solo album ‘Swallow‘. Now, Bell, Queralt, Mark Gardener and Laurence “Loz” Colbert are set to reunite on February 12 to play a number of Ride classics. They’ll kick off their tour in Bournemouth, following up with a huge show at Brixton Academy on Februart 12. It will be 34 years since their 1992 show which was filmed for their live concert film Ride – Live at Brixton Academy. They’ll also stop off at Birmingham (14), Leeds (16) Manchester (18) before rounding off their tour with a final show in Glasgow (19). Recommended Bell may potentially be joining Oasis for more tour dates, who are reportedly planning a huge 2027 UK and Europe tour. The rumoured tour is suspected to including a huge show at Knebworth and a giant 12-night Manchester residency at the Etihad Stadium. Meanwhile, Mark Gardener is teaming up with Talk Talk to play a one-off London show celebrating Talk Talk’s ‘The Colour Of Spring’ 40th anniversary. Along with the remaining members of Talk Talk – Simon Brenner, Phil Ramocon and Ian Curnow – the band will also be joined by Sophie Barker (Zero 7), Gale Paridjanian (Turin Brakes), Tim Eisenburg (Sweet Billy Pilgrim), Chris Hampson and Jacob Brown. Ed Harcourt and Guillemots’ Fyfe Dangerfield will both play support sets on the night. NME last spoke to Ride in 2024 for their new album ‘Interplay’. Speaking about the circumstances of making the record, Andy Bell told NME: “It just felt so dark for a while there. Along with dealing with COVID, we had a lot of adversity with the sort of legal battle going on with ex-managers. All the hideous stuff that you read about that other bands go through, it was happening to us. “It was a very testing time really for all of us, as it was for everybody. In our own way, we came through that and I think that’s what really made this album as strong as it is because at certain times, I was just wondering if this was the end.”
