Richard Osman reveals one Traitors series ‘went so wrong it couldn’t be aired’

The Pointless presenter has claimed that an unnamed international version of the popular reality show was shelved because of a certain conversation held in the castle. ‘I think I’m probably not even allowed to talk about it,’ Richard, 55,told podcaster Jack Dean. ‘There is one series in one territory where something was discussed at length in the castle, which led to the show not being able to [air].’ Richard was appearing on Jack’s Happy Hour Podcast when he made the remarks during a conversation about The Traitors, where he revealed his favourite series. And shock horror! It wasn’t any of the UK versions (not even season two). Richard Osman loves nothing more than talking about The Traitors (Picture: Ying Tang/NurPhoto via Getty Images). ‘The best ever series of The Traitors, I think, is the first ever Australian one, which I think is still on iPlayer,’ Osman said before revealing he hated the second series of the Aussie version. ‘[It’s the] single most frustrating series of Traitors,’ he began. ‘Because there’s a Traitor in there who’s so obviously a Traitor and a gang of Faithfuls who are so easily led. However, those reports have since been denied. While the BBC hasn’t given any concrete details about the show’s return, it’s expected that it will begin towards the end of September or the start of October.
