RIA seeks applicants for Lindau Nobel Laureate event

MUSCAT: The Research and Innovation Authority (RIA) has launched procedures for applications wishing to participate in the 76th Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting in the field of Physiology and Medicine, scheduled to take place in Germany from 27 June to 2 July 2027.Through this process, the RIA seeks to offer outstanding Omani researchers and students an opportunity to participate in this event with the aim of upgrading their capabilities expand their chances to engage in international cooperation and enhance their skills of communication with a select group of renowned global Nobel Laureates. The annual gathering allows for the nomination of three young scientists from the Sultanate of Oman. The nominees will undergo assessment by the organisers to select the most qualified candidates to represent the Sultanate at this event, which brings together about 40 Nobel Laureates and 600 young scientists representing more than 80 countries. Participation in the event is reserved exclusively for undergraduate students, holders of Master’s and PhD and postdoctoral researchers in the fields of Physiology and Medicine.The deadline for registration to the event is 19 October 2026.
