Courtesy of Revolut Revolut, a London-based digital banking platform, has turned travel payments into a distribution business in Europe. Now, with conditional approval of a U.S. banking license, Revolut is preparing to bring that same financial and travel strategy to the United States. The company operates globally as a full digital bank anchored by a financial services app, with banking, payments, foreign exchange, investing, and other money-management products all in one place. Its interest in travel goes back to its own roots as a currency exchange service in 2015, with prepaid cards aimed at tourists. It now offers hotel stays and experiences, trip insurance, consumer products, lounge access, points convertible for airline miles, and virtual cards.
