'You won't stumble upon this bar while strolling through the city center, and that is probably the biggest miss you'll have in Sarajevo,' one delighted customer wrote on Google reviews. 'Long story short: this is now, by right, one of my favorite places in the world. No visit to Sarajevo will ever be complete without a stop here.'6. Papa Joe's Jazzlokal, Cologne In sixth place is Papa Joe's Jazzlokal, CologneFor jazz and blues, this musical Cologne spot is a favourite among locals and tourists alike. U Hrocha, Prague Typically Czech U Hrocha in Prague takes ninth place on the listPrague's a favourite among stag dos and Brits heading abroad for a boozy city break, but this next spot's a more traditional Czech establishment than lads on holiday might expect.Well-priced and traditional, the pub is described by the guide as 'proud to display a certain way of doing things to a nation seemingly determined to head in another direction'.'If you are lucky, you may find a stool in the windowsill, to enjoy your beer and the atmosphere of this traditional Czech beer joint,' one visitor said. Le Pot Au Lait, Liège Liège's Le Pot Au Lait welcomes you in with its bold entranceLiège is somewhat of a hidden gem – as is this bar.It's another slightly bizarre, totally unique drinking spot, with graffiti, plants and taxidermy lining the walls, adding to the strange yet inviting ambience.One review read: 'If you are into weird unique decors and colourful lighting, this is the place. One of the most unique, fun bars I have ever been to. 'It's a huge location with mostly outdoor seating with self service ordering of drinks from their extensive menu. It's trippy, it's vibrant and fun to be there sipping your drink and lost in your surroundings.'11. The Gravediggers, Dublin John Kavanagh's The Gravediggers in Glasnevin, Dublin is up nextSet by Glasnevin cemetery, John Kavanagh's Gravediggers might not look quite as swish as some of the other bars on this list.But the shades of brown and historic vibe are reminiscent of the pub's 1833 origins, and traditional home-cooked meals are also served.This being Dublin, you can expect a well-poured pint – many argue this is one of the best.'Travelled all the way from the UK to visit and sample their Guinness and I can honestly say that it didn't disappoint. Schlenkerla, Bamberg Unique Schlenkerla, located in Bamberg, comes in 16th placeBeerhalls like this are what Germany is all about – and this historic pub is best known for its smoked Aecht Schlenkerla Rauchbier.It might be an acquired taste, but it's definitely worth a try. The official website for the hall says: 'Even if the brew tastes somewhat strange at the first swallow, do not stop, because soon you will realise that your thirst will not decrease and your pleasure will visibly increase.' The building dates back to the 1400s, so from inside you can enjoy the old parts of Bamberg in one place. Don't forget to explore the old town while in the area.17. Scârț Loc Lejer, Timișoara Scârț Loc Lejer in Timișoara, Romania, is equal parts cosy and quirky'A museum to communist childhood, a lost in time garden, late night fun'. That's how the European Bar Guide describes this next spot. While Romania might often be linked with cheap booze breaks, this bar has a lot more history than that, with roots dating back to the Romanian revolution against communism – in fact, the bar itself is ironically located in the place the revolution was born, despite being a sort of homage to the communist era.In a quiet neighbourhood, it might feel a tad off the beaten track – and you'll need to walk through dark streets to get there. But it's certainly worth it. 23. Chata pod Rysmi, Mt. Rysy Chata pod Rysmi is one of the most unique bars to join the listA whopping 2,250m above sea level, this mountain refuge bar is in one of the most unique locations possible – and requires a two-hour climb to get there.It's only open between June and October, but during that period acts as a refuge for those climbing the Slovakian mountain.'A wonderful hut in the Slovak Tatras!' one said. 'We loved our stay and especially the Haluški for dinner! The views are unbeatable and the feeling up in the mountains just magical.
