To the Editor Dr Sonneville and colleagues reported that in the R2D2-ICU randomized clinical trial, a restrictive vs liberal physical restraint strategy did not significantly change days alive without coma or delirium through day 14 among critically ill adults. This pragmatic study addressed an important and frequently debated ICU practice.
