Residents of West Bank's Beit Iksa prevented from accessing their homes

For the second consecutive week, Israeli forces prevented around 30 Palestinians from accessing their homes in Beit Iksa, northwest of Jerusalem, Wafa news agency reported. Wafa quoted a resident, Mohammad al-Kiswani, as saying that the forces refuse to issue special permits required to enter the village. Beit Iksa is separated from its surroundings by an Israeli military checkpoint and has for years been subject to strict restrictions on the movement of its residents. Entry into the village requires special permits and magnetic cards issued by Israeli authorities, while some residents have been denied entry on the grounds of what the authorities call a “security ban”.
