Back in March, the Resident Evil franchise celebrated its 30th anniversary with the first installment, aptly named Resident Evil, launched for the first time on the PlayStation courtesy of Capcom. Since then, the franchise has become one of the most successful survival horror series of all time, welcoming eleven mainline titles, as well as multiple spin-offs, remasters, and remakes. More recently, Capcom launched the ninth main game, titled Resident Evil Requiem, and back in February 2026, our very own Chris Carter awarded it a 9/10, with his review reading: Still, playing as two characters that are this starkly different from each other is an experiment that paid off, and worked out far better than it did with Resident Evil 6. Capcom has thrills down to a science at this point, and Resident Evil Requiem delivers. Long-time fans are going to get more out of this entry than the previous two, and the development team seems to have mastered the first-person perspective. Here's hoping a VR mode comes eventually. Since the launch of Resident Evil Requiem, fans of the beloved survival horror series have already received exciting news as Resident Evil Veronica was announced as a remake of the hit 2000 entry, Resident Evil – Code: Veronica. Scheduled for launch some time in 2027, it will not be long before fans get to head back to Rockfort Island with siblings, Chris and Claire Redfield. Before then, however, there is another exciting event to look forward to as Resident Evil: The Legacy Of Fear offers fans the 30th Anniversary Exhibition they have all been waiting for. Courtesy of Tohokushinsha and Capcom, the special exhibition will cover the entirety of the Resident Evil universe, all the way up to Resident Evil Requiem, and now, the full map has been unveiled. It is this first zone, titled Legacy of Fear, that will feature stunning displays that summarize the major events that take place throughout the history of the franchise. It is here that visitors will stumble upon beautifully crafted statues of iconic characters such as Albert Wesker, Alcina Dimitrescu, and Leon Kennedy, and the Requiem room will even feature the headpiece worn by Victor Gideon himself. Finally, they will travel through the Umbrella Quarantine Station, before finishing up in the accompanying gift store. Luckily, we can see the map in its entirety below: The gift store will be a candy shop for fans of the series, with Tohokushinsha offering everything from shopping bags to keychains and everything in between, with prices ranging from ¥500 ($3.15) for a shopping bag to ¥13,200 ($83.55) for a full set of keychains complete with box art of all of the major Resident Evil entries. The full merchandise list can be found here, and just check out those adorable plushies. Last but not least, The World of Resident Evil 30th Anniversary Exhibition will take place on the 4th floor of Shibuya BEAM in Tokyo, Japan, from 30 October to 24 December 2026. So, if you happen to find yourself visiting Japan during this period, do not miss out on the opportunity to take a trip down memory lane as you immerse yourself in the history of the Resident Evil franchise.
