Rescue operation under way after woman falls down Blue Mountains cliff

September 12, 2026 — 2:43pmA major rescue operation is under way to help a woman who fell 30 metres down a cliff face in the Blue Mountains.Emergency services rushed to the Blue Mountains National Park at 11am on Saturday after a woman plunged down a slope in Leura.A woman has fallen down a Blue Mountains cliff face.Destination NSWThe woman, aged in her 30s, fell down the Ben Trovato Wall at Sublime Point, a popular spot for climbers, a spokesperson for NSW Ambulance said. She remains in a stable condition and is being treated at the scene by four paramedics and a doctor for arm abrasions and back pain.A spokesperson for NSW Police said they were called to a walking track in Leura, following reports of a hiker falling from a cliff.“She is believed to be in a serious but stable condition,” the spokesperson said. “An operation to rescue the woman is under way.”Several paramedics, as well as the NSW Ambulance Toll rescue helicopter, attended the scene.More to come Be the first to know when major news happens.
