Reid Hoffman cool on Harris’s chances in 2028 after going all in on her in 2024

LinkedIn co-founder Reid Hoffman is not rallying behind former Vice President Kamala Harris for the 2028 presidential race after donating $17 million to her 2024 campaign.Speaking at the Politico summit on artificial intelligence in Washington, Hoffman cast doubt on whether Harris should launch a presidential bid next time around.“I think it would be a very challenging path for her, and it’s going to be a very noisy field,” the billionaire donor said in a sit-down interview on Wednesday. Hoffman’s remarks come days after Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA) said he would not seek the White House in 2028 if Harris decides to run again.“Of course not. Why would I? I wouldn’t do that to her,” Newsom said in a conversation with CNN host Jake Tapper while they were fishing. “I wouldn’t do it to me. Why would I? I wouldn’t waste everyone’s time. Who needs that?”Harris has not committed to launching another presidential campaign, noting she is actively considering it. For now, her focus is on the midterm elections.As for Rep.
